Salem - The Witch's Curse

The Witch looked down at her stomach. He baby bump was barely showing. She could understand their ignorance and hatred towards her, but she was carrying an unborn child, the most pure thing in this world, and yet they would still burn her? They would pay!
"YOU FOUL CREATURES!" she screamed at them as flames licked at her feet
They all stared at her
"To take a life is bad enough, but to take the life of something not even born? You are all despicable!"
The townsfolk just scoffed
"Sit conent whilst you can. You shall not feel my fury, but your children, and your children's children, they shall be cursed and damned as you have damned me!"
She muttered incomprehensable words under her breath as the fire climbed ever higher
The townsfolk stood and watched as the flames reached higher and higher, and before long yet another Witch had been burned. But this was Salem, and these were the Witch Trials, this was perfectly normal...

400 years later, and the Witch's curse turned out to be a little more real than the legends thought. Halloween is supposed to be a time of celebration and fun. Children dress up and stuff their faces with candy galore! But not in Salem...

Every year the children dress up, but that's when the curse takes hold. Whatever you dress up as, you become. Vampire, Werewolf, Demon, Mummy...anything and everything. But not everyone of course, only a select few are cursed every year. Those who are cursed are nicknamed 'Misfits'. Although usually they can hide what they are and live normal lives, they are still cursed and it comes with a price. If you are a Vampire, you must drink blood e.t.c. There is a way to stop the curse and free all the people, but no one knows how

The date is October 24th. 1 week until Halloween decends again and a new cohort of children and teens go trick-or-treating...and a new batch of them are cursed to become whatever they so should be wearing...

Note: Misfits can also turn others, E.g a Vamp can turn someone else into a Vamp, but they are aslo then considered to be a Misfit so if the curse is broken they return to normal
